Change your Mornings with Overnight Oats!

  • 2 min read
We hardly find the time for breakfast. For many kids, it usually involves wolfing down cereal that consists of marshmallows and chocolate before running to catch the bus. If you want something healthy, breakfast is typically seen as a nuisance. Having to get up extra early to cook something over the stove is a drag. But, have you tried overnight oats?
Overnight oats are exactly what it sounds like. Oats you let sit overnight. Recipes can change to your likeness, but two basic ingredients involve rolled oats and milk of your choice. Instead of relying on the stove, you keep things cold and simple.
Overnight oats are something you can get fun with. You can add more ingredients like berries, peanut butter, nuts, yogurt, or syrup and honey for our sweet tooth lovers. Depending on how you make your overnight oats, the end result can be delicious, nutritious and filling — exactly what you need to start your day.
Best of all, you reap all the healthy benefits of oats in a fun grab-and-go breakfast:
  • They contain more protein than most grains.
  • They’re a rich source of fiber, which helps you feel fuller longer.
  • They’re high in antioxidants which may help lower blood pressure levels.
  • They can help you lose weight by making you feel more full and slowing down the emptying of your stomach.

  • 1/2 cup of organic rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup of almond milk (or milk alternative of your choice)
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
